Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Crossid ("we", "us"), a free identity-linking tool. By using Crossid, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Crossid links accounts across Discord, Minecraft Java Edition, and Roblox. Links are scoped to a registered Minecraft server installation. Crossid provides a website, REST API, Discord bot, and Minecraft plugin.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and must comply with the terms of Discord, Roblox, Minecraft, and any server you use. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.

3. Accounts and linking

• You must control each account you link.
• You may not link an account you do not own or are not authorized to use.
• Linking is verified through the relevant platform and/or a one-time code.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
• You can unlink accounts at any time.

4. Server operators

• You are responsible for keeping server API keys confidential and for promptly rotating or revoking compromised credentials.
• You may access only the links belonging to your own server installation. Attempting to access another server's data is prohibited.
• You must have a lawful basis to process your players' linked identity data and must comply with applicable privacy laws.

5. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use the Service to impersonate others or misrepresent an identity.
• Attempt to access data belonging to another server or user.
• Probe, scan, or bypass authentication, rate limits, or other controls.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive activity.
• Resell or sublicense the Service without written permission.

6. Third-party services

Discord, Roblox, Minecraft server software, and our hosting providers are third-party services with their own terms and privacy policies. Crossid is not responsible for those services, their availability, or their content.

7. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including features and API endpoints. We aim to avoid breaking changes but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

8. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crossid disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Crossid does not guarantee that linked identities are accurate beyond the verification performed by the relevant platform.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crossid will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, if any.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Crossid harmless from claims arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service or others. You may stop using the Service at any time and unlink your accounts. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and is incorporated into these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Dispute resolution

If you have a concern about the Service, contact us first at contact@sh0.si so we can try to resolve it informally. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection laws that apply to you.
